Arabsat-5C and SES-2 satellites were sucessfully launched by Ariane 5 launcher from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou today at 21:38 UTC.

Due to the strike at within the TELESPAZIO company, today's launch of Ariane VA204 from the Guiana Space Center with Arabsat 5C and SES 2 was postponed. Future launch date will be announced at a later date.

Sea Launch Selected to Launch Intelsat 19

BERN, Switzerland, September 12, 2011



 

Sea Launch announced today that it will launch the Intelsat 19 communications satellite in early 2012 under a previously announced multiple launch services contract. It will replace Intelsat 8 satellite at the 166 East orbital position and will be the first of up to five missions on the Sea Launch system contracted for Intelsat LLC.
