ILS Proton/Breeze-M launcher has successfully delivered Satmex 8 satellite to the destination transfer orbit. 9 hours and 13 minutes after the liftoff the satellite has separated from Breeze-M upper stage on schedule at 12:20 a.m. EDT, or 07:20 GMT.
Sea Launch AG announced today that approximately 40 seconds after liftoff of the launch of the Intelsat 27 spacecraft, all telemetry was lost indicating a loss of mission. The spacecraft, built by Boeing Satellite Systems was launched on a Zenit-3SL launch vehicle from the equator on the ocean-based Odyssey launch platform, positioned at 154 degrees West longitude.
Sea Launch will establish a Failure Review Oversight Board to determine the root cause of the incident and will provide additional information, as it becomes available, on the Sea Launch website at: www.sea-launch.com
Mexsat-3/Skynet-5D - mission success

Arianespace’s Ariane 5 flight with the Skynet 5D and Mexsat Bicentenario (Mexsat-3) satellites - mission success!
On 9 December, during the target orbit insertion phase, the Yamal 402 spacecraft separated ahead of the scheduled time, however the spacecraft is under control and evaluation is performed of its orbit parameters. All the satellite systems are functioning nominally and experts believe that 2-4 additional burns of the propulsion system will be required to place it to the target orbital position.
Following the completion of all maneuvers, the spacecraft will be handed over to OAO Gazprom Space Systems for operation as originally planned, i.e. on 8 January.
